Empowerment of Youth with Disability

Goodmorning.

During 17th & 18th Sep, RGNIYD University has organised National Colloquium on Strategies for Youth Empowerment. It is the most needy and grand success to get the concerned stakeholders on to the same plotform. It helped to understand the challenges, GAP, requirement, followup action etc. Also passed the resolution to request for the Review & Amendement of the National Policy.

I have got an oppertunity to particiapate in the event and present a paper on the most needy targetted group i.e., "Empowerment of Youth with Disabialtiy - A Model". In fact this group has got priority in Policy itself.

The process is going on to reach the needy individuals and looking forward to get the support from all the concerned stakeholders.

I will be happy to share the proposed model both for Rehabialtion and Prevention.

Empowerment of the Youth with Disability

Dear ALL,

In view of the targeted persons with disability, availability of services & resources, severity & complexity of disability etc., following recommendations were made as:

o Capacity Building trainings for mobilizing resources and its management,

o Short term training programmes for the Professionals and other Stakeholders,

o Enhancing the Rehabilitation and Prevention Strategies with multi-sectoral approaches,

o Networking for better connectivity & monitoring and thus for empowerment with sustainable development and

o HRD from Certificate to Post Graduation level including research both on regular and distance mode.

In continuation, hope everything is going on smoothly in supporting the needy individuals suiting to their challenges, skills, needs and living circumstances.  

It is the fact that "Youth" is our future and paly significnat role in shaping the development of the national itself. Due to various challanges at all levles, the development has taken declined trens and the quality of life of the people is at cross roads. If this is the situation of the normal people, then it is the complex situtation to imagine the life of the youth having disability.  I am working in this direction and shortly going to present the same at the National Seminar to be held in India. 

I will be back in the last week of this month to update the outcome of the Seminar.

Networking at IWRM 2009

Recently particiapted in the International Workshop on Resource Mobilization during 25-28th June 2009. This was organized by the Reosurce Alliance. Around 240 members from 40 countries attended this event. The photo shows the Bursary Winners who attnded this event. The event was very good and helped us to updated the skills in mobilizing the resources for better sustaianbility of the organization / services.

The network with RA is very effective and helps us in developing the required capacities. Thanks for the opportunity and developed network helps to do the things in the right direction with positive impact.

Looking forward for better networking and thus to reach more needy individuals with better services thus helping them to lead better living in an inclucive environment.

Networking is the art and need of the day to be with the technology and people. Thanks for the technological development took place and helped all of us with stronger connectivity. Connectivity helps to share the information and thus enahnces the knowledge. Knowledge helps to think and plan the things in right direction with positive attitude.  This procee helps all of us to reach the needy people with better service delivery system matching to their challenges, skills, needs and living circumstances. 

E-communication is the best which saves both time and money. The e-search helps to get the required info sitting at any corner of the world. The right choice helps to attain the targets at right time with right approach. 

Use the techonoly (ICT) in all the possible ways for having better connectivity for doing the things at right time with dynamic linkages. 

Looking forward for better networking and connectivity to reach the people and thus empwoering them for leading better life with sustainability and quality of life as a RIGHT.
