ASSOCIATION WITH THE MASTER TRAINER PROGRAMME OF THE NATIONAL TRUST, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA,NEW DELHI

Dear All

The National Trust is going to organize the masters Training Programme on Capacities Building at Varanasi during 9th - 13th January 2012. I will be participating in this national programme for building strong network for enhancing the capacities of the stakeholders and service organizations. I will be posting more on this blog.

ASSOCIATION WITH NATIONAL FLAGSHIP PROGRAMME OF PRI AT NIRD

Dear All

In continuation, i will be part of the above cited programme to be held from 16th to 20th at NIRD, Hyderabad.  This is the most needy and all the stakeholders needs to strengthen the PRI both for formulation and implementation of the developmental programmes  including social auditing. This certainly leads for the development with better sustainability and quality. 

In this process creation of spaces, barrier free environment and inclusive environment as per the concept of UNIVERSAL DESIGN is the top priority to create better access for all at all levels.     

The sequence of process to move forward should include:

* Understanding the challenges and needs of the people and community

* SWOT Analysis of the people & environment

* Action Plan or Road Map to transform the weaknesses and threats into strengths and opportunities 

   respectively. 

* Formulation of strategies & interventions based on the needs & skills of the targeted groups

* All should move towards the right based approaches with full participation 

* Need based Social Marketing & Social Auditing with the use of local resources to the maximum extent

* Look for better adaptability and utilization

* Work for holistic development with better sustainability and quality of life (QOL) of the people as well as the 

   environment.

........ more such need based approaches will result for the better health and wealth of the people and the nation.

ROLE OF PANCHAYAT RAJ INSTITUTE (PRI) FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Dear All

In continuation, it is the well known fact that the bottom up approach is an effective model in working for the development with better sustainability. In this process the Panchayat Raj Institute (PRI) which is the grass-root administrative unit gains the priority to work for the people by the people. 

In this connection the need of the hour is to strengthen the capacities of the PRI for handling the challenges and needs of the people by the people. At the same time, PRI will be the effective system to address the vulnerability of the marginalized groups of disability, hiv/aids, orphans, child labourers and many other. 

In this connection, the collaboration of GO-NGO will do the miracles in understanding the challenges and needs of the people and to formulate them into workable strategies & interventions with right based approaches.
