In the present technological and highly competitive environment, highly talented normal people are facing several challenges in getting education and some employment which may not match for their qualification. In this situation, imagination of the position of persons with disability in general and mental retardation is very critical and complex. In view of the right based acts and policies, PWDs have got the right to live in the community with respect & dignity on equal basis.
Understanding the need and demand, there is a scope and need to make a study in this direction. This can be taken up as a project work at post graduation level with matching check up at grass root level. I am in the process of obtaining the data and opinions while meeting the parents, PWDs and other stakeholders.
