ABSTRACT

The available resources have not reached the targeted people due to the limitation of service delivery systems which are mostly dominated by top down approaches. The Political interest and Private interest are dominating the interest of the Government which is expected to work for the people oriented development. The poor compatibility among these key players gives low priority for people’s interests and concentrates more on their own business oriented interest. The service delivery cost is quite high compared to the benefits delivered to the people and thus lost the basic purpose of development. The challenges with the key players are many and finally affect the development of the people as well as the Nation with vulnerabilities, marginalization, isolation, violence, crime and poor quality of life. The emerged solutions as an opportunity are many to transform the challenges into strengths and thus create positive attitude with environment for healthy and wealthy living with better access, inclusion, and empowerment. The Civil Society Organizations working very near to the people have got opportunity to coordinate the key players with partnership on long term basis. The suggested model is simple and it only needs positive orientation with commitment from all the sectors for creating an opportunity to the common man to access the benefits of the development by living at any corner of the Nation.

Key Words: Partnership, Healthy, Inclusion, Access, Development, Sustainability, Quality of Life,

Statement of the Problem

The Service Delivery Systems mostly dominated by top down approaches are unable to cater the needs of the people at grass roots and thus affects their development, sustainability and quality of life.

Recommendations

To continue the process of people oriented development with better sustainability and quality, recommendations emerged include:

1. Encourage and Empower the Panchayats with resources to work with innovation and creativity.
2. Give an opportunity to CSOs for developing themselves as a professional institute and to work on partnership basis.
 3. Priority for the developmental activities / projects which are healthy and wealthy for the people as well as the environment.
4. Create opportunities for product making, marketing, brand value, and safer disposal.
5.  Effective mechanism to protect the people and Nation with systems, rights, justice, security, equality, and dignity with better accessibility and affordability.

Before you do anything, stop and recall the face of the poorest most helpless destitute person you have seen and ask yourself. “Is that what I am about to do going to help him?”
 .. Mahatma Gandhi
ABSTRACT

It is the fact that the Nation has got resources to cater the needs of its people but not their greed. The consumption of resources by the people majorly depends upon the type of environment they prefer. Simple or healthy living needs minimum or optimum use of resources where as luxury or wealthy living consumes more resources. The first one results for positive impact with minimum wastage and pollution where as the later one contributes for negative impact with higher wastage and pollution. The mode of wealthy living by a smaller group affects the dynamics of the larger population at the level of family, community and the Nation. Simple living and high thinking lead towards better quality of life where as luxury living with low thinking move towards standard of living which is not sustainable and not desired by the people and the Nation. Luxury living do results for several challenges with unhealthy environments where as simple living does have several advantages with healthy environments. The Government majorly working with top down approaches needs to work on partnership basis with CSOs who prefer to work with bottom up approaches for the people by the people. The suggested channels are simple, replicable, scalable and sustainable and put a check to several challenges with solutions.

Key Words: Resources, Health, Wealth, Simple, Luxury, Environment, Opportunities, Inclusion, Sustainability.

Statement of the Problem
The luxury living environment of a smaller group needs more resources and results for shortage of critical needs of larger population, wastage, pollution, corruption, migration, violence, crime, and other unhealthy consequences. This further affects the sustainability of the growth & development of the people and the nation with poor quality of life (QOL).

Recommendations
The availability of resources and its access for the people and sustainable development is the priority area and recommendations made include:
            1.      Strengthen the systems with better access for the people to move towards simple living with healthy baits.
            2.      Educate and orient the Students towards the advantages of simple or healthy living and motivate them to take up projects and research work in this direction.
            3.      Organize Seminars, Workshops and Trainings for the people with the combination of youth and senior citizens.
            4.      Strength CSOs and crate platform of GO-CSOs to work on partnership basis with healthy systems and values by the people for the people.
            5.      Encourage the individuals or institutions or CSOs for the good work done by them by way of awards or supports or both.

Paper published on "CORRUPTION – OPPORTUNITIES FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT"

Dear All

Continued the process of publication and recently published the the paper in ASIAN JOURNAL OF PROFESSIONAL ETHICS & MANAGEMENT" in its recent issue  of April-June 2017. The Absract of the same is pasted below:

CORRUPTION – OPPORTUNITIES FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT

If a Country is to be corruption free and become a Nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the Father, the Mother and the Teacher”                                                             …. APJ Abdul Kalam.

ABSTRACT

‘Corruption’ is unhealthy and unwanted part of the service delivery system which affects the development of the Nation with poor values and image. The Nation has got resources to cater the needs of the people but not their greed. The greed of a smaller group affects the health and wealth of a larger population. Corruption associated with the generation of black money acts as barrier of development and further results for the marginalization including isolation of a larger population struggling for even critical needs under the pressure of violation, crime, hazards and disasters. The service delivery systems of the Government are mostly dominated with top down approaches and thus limit its reach to the targeted groups. Accepting all such challenges as opportunities gives scope to search for innovative and creative systems. The mission of Digital India supported by Clean India and Make India opens gates for technological revolution with better connectivity, accountability and transparency. The models presented clearly reflect the advantages of moving towards healthy and transparent environments at all the levels. CSOs have got a key role to work with Government and Private on partnership basis with better monitoring and evaluations including social auditing. The need based bottom up approaches with community initiatives minimizes the limitations of top down approaches and further supports the development with better transparency, sustainability and quality. The resulted environments are healthy, friendly, accessible, affordable, accountable, participatory, responsive, transparent and empowered and improve the reach to people both quantitatively and qualitatively. It is the power and commitment of the people to create a healthy and wealthy living with improved quality of life.

Key Words: Resources, Greed, Corruption, Violence, Opportunities, Development, Inclusion.

Statement of the Problem

The greed of a smaller group leads for corruption and further affect the lives of larger population and acts as a barrier for the development, credibility and values of the People and Nation.
