In continuation to the efforts of PARIVAAR CCH, organized Awareness cum Self Advocates cum Vocational Training programme for the persons with mental retardation and their parents at the Special School situated at Mancherial, Adilabad District.
The PARIVAAR CCH team comprising of Shri. Balakishan Rao, General Secretary & N Lkashmi Narayana, Technical Adviser along with the trainers in Vocational Trainings have conducted the programme in the special school.
The General Manger of Mancherial SCCL Mines chaired the function. After listening to the issues of the PMRs and their parents & Special School, he responded very positively to support for the cause and to reach the unreached who are still away for the solutions. This includes to get all the benefits, trainings, education, employment / livelihoods and possibility to get solution for the unanswered question of every parent that "what will happen to the child after us?". In addition, prevention of disability is another key issue discussed and to do the needful.
In the evening, interactive session has been conducted by the TS and given the ways to move forward. Move has been made to collected the documents for enrolling to NIRAMAYA Health Scheme of National Trust.
The management of SCCL, Mancherial is looking positive to support the persons with special; needs with sustainable solutions.
A good beginning has been made and has assured for the support as long as the parents are coming forward.
