CHALLENGES WITH MIGRATION AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT

Dear All

Please see the abstract of the paper published in the National Journal as:
...................................................................
Migration’ has to be seen as two side of the same coin having advantages on one side and challenges on other side. It works with twin purposes of catering the basic needs for larger population and business or image building for smaller group. It has got several challenges which create unhealthy environments. Development achieved is not uniform for all the people over the geography and instead confines to selected groups and thus widens the gap between the rich and poor. Such gap results for violence and crime and majority of the people struggles for their basic needs. The need of the hour is to accept these challenges and to transform them into opportunities. The opportunities are many to put a check for unhealthy migration by way of creating healthy, wealthy and empowered environments with better accountability and transparency. Use of ICT and other technologies with better access improves the access with connectivity to work on real time basis. CSOs work with Government, Private, Corporate and Financial Institutes to empower the targeted groups and thus to work for their inclusion with better sustainability and quality of life. The opportunities as initiatives are simple, flexible, replicable, scalable and sustainable to control the migration with better monitoring and evaluation in the given environment.

Looking forward....

With thanks
